چکیده
Within the framework of [Formula: see text] theories gravity, we investigate hydrostatic equilibrium anisotropic neutron stars with a physically relevant equation state (EoS) for radial pressure. In particular, focus on model, where is minimal coupling constant. slowly rotating approximation, derive modified TOV equations and expression relativistic moment inertia. The main properties stars, such as radius, mass inertia, are studied in detail. Our results reveal that consequence term substantial increase surface radius low enough central densities. Nevertheless, slightly modifies total gravitational inertia stars. Furthermore, changes noticeable when anisotropy incorporated into stellar fluid, it possible to obtain higher masses consistent current observational data.

Anisotropic convection in rotating proto-neutron stars
We study the conditions for convective instability in rotating, non-magnetic proto–neutron stars. The criteria that determine stability of nascent neutron stars are analogous to the Solberg–Høiland conditions but including the presence of lepton gradients. Our results show that, for standard angular velocity profiles, convectively unstable modes with wave-vectors parallel to the rotation axis a...
متن کاملRadial pulsation frequencies of slowly rotating neutron stars
We study the radial pulsation frequencies of slowly rotating neutron stars in general relativistic formalism using realistic equations of state. It is found that the pulsation frequencies are always an increasing function of rotation rate. The increasing rate of frequency depends on the nature of equations of state. Cameron [1] suggested that the vibration of neutron stars might excite motions ...
متن کاملThe High-Energy Polarization-Limiting Radius of Neutron Star Magnetospheres I – Slowly Rotating Neutron Stars
In the presence of strong magnetic fields, the vacuum becomes a birefringent medium. We show that this QED effect decouples the polarization modes of photons leaving the NS surface. Both the total intensity and the intensity in each of the two modes is preserved along a ray’s path through the neutron-star magnetosphere. We analyze the consequences that this effect has on aligning the observed p...
متن کاملCrustal Oscillations of Slowly Rotating Relativistic Stars
We study low-amplitude crustal oscillations of slowly rotating relativistic stars consisting of a central fluid core and an outer thin solid crust. We estimate the effect of rotation on the torsional toroidal modes and on the interfacial and shear spheroidal modes. The results compared against the Newtonian ones for wide range of neutron star models and equations of state.
متن کاملInertial modes of slowly rotating isentropic stars
We investigate inertial mode oscillations of slowly and uniformly rotating, isentropic, Newtonian stars. Inertial mode oscillations are induced by the Coriolis force due to the star’s rotation, and their characteristic frequencies are comparable with the rotation frequency Ω of the star. So called r-mode oscillations form a sub-class of the inertial modes. In this paper, we use the term “r-mode...
